Fasty McFastpants Barefoot Runner Josh

Inspiration for both shod and barefoot runners alike, Barefoot Josh can run like the wind.  A brisk wind, not those lazy summer Zephyrs. I love that this guy runs fast, competes, sometimes wears shoes when the terrain dictates, but goes mostly barefoot and loves to run.  Both he and his wife Iris are runners that do awesome things.

He makes me want to run fast!

That might be the nicest blogolink (linkoblog?) that I've ever received. Thanks!

I'm a little weirded out about the whole speediness issue, to tell the truth. I didn't know I had that much "suck it up" required for fast efforts. It's cathartic and addictive.

Your welcome! Lots of barefoot runners, especially in the beginning have not logged enough slow steady miles and let their feet change and morph yet before attempting speed but its nice to see that it can be done.

Vanessa Runs posted about wanting to run faster and that it can be just as fun to compete. I agree!
