running goals and a tent in the yard

Yesterday I ran 4 miles in the morning and 8 in the evening.
Barefoot of course and it was on the treadmill but I had to watch the littles.
The dear one is home so I was able to get 4 stress free miles in tonight.
Only 32.5 miles a week for the next 3 weeks to get back on track for 100 each month for 2010.
I am stoked to have a solid short term goal that I think I can meet.
My legs and feet feel good and hopefully I will be able to run outside tomorrow!   I might even take one of the spawn in the stroller for some company.
Its interesting that sometimes a run will make soreness better instead of worse. Getting blood pumping is what was needed all along.
Lots of Kombucha and mixed berries today and loving my recovery socks...ah the finer things!

Nothing like a tent in the front yard on a beautiful day.

I want to run too!!! Stupid achilles!!! I would even enjoy running on a treadmill now. :)
Enjoy warm weather. When my son was little he loved (well he still does) sleeping under the stars in our back yard.

Nice double! Treadmills are life savers when it comes to getting those miles in with kiddos...or the weather.

Hi Angie,
Good job on getting twleve miles in:) I am glad you have a nice short term goal to hang on to and that you are back on track for 100 miles a month! That is what I am trying to do too:)

Cute picture of the boys!! There is something about setting a tent up in our own yard that makes our kiddos crazy happy:) We did the same thing when my older ones were younger!

Hey love following your blog. I am starting to dabble in barefoot running, and love the minimalist concept. In March I worked up to running 5 barefoot miles on the beach while on vacation. Now since I have been home, I only have had ONE 5-min barefoot run on the treadmill. Thanks for the inspiration!!!

I used to set up a tent in my parents yard when I was a kid and occasionally sleep out in it during the summer. Nothing like camping next to your house. :)
