Let them soak overnight and then drain the water off. I use a seed starting lid that is just a plastic lid with a screen to let air and water in or out and keep the seeds from washing away when you drain the water off. I like to set my jar on its side with the seeds or lentils along the bottom lengthwise. Then let tem sit. Mine are on my kitchen counter. Rinse well everyday.
