Short Skirt and a Long Jacket

 Music:
Don't let the scrappy old dude fool you.  If by chance you have not heard this Cake song,  your life is lacking because of it.  Listen now to get your groove on.

She is fast and thorough
And sharp as a tack
She's touring the facility
And picking up slack

 Good Vibes;
Good Luck to the Des Moines Marathon runners!  I will be sending happy running vibes your way my friends.  I am a wee bit jealous but I know that if I were standing at the starting line I would be wondering what the hell I was thinking putting myself through the pressure of a race.  So there is that.

Made Me Laugh:
While at the library with the boys I overheard Milo say "Oh My God...blah blah blah whatever else came next".  He is trying out exclamations and it has been quite entertaining.  "Becky look at her butt"  is what I thought in my head after hearing that OMG.  Ah the things that stick in my head over the years.  The only thing that makes that songs memory bearable are the people that will chuckle upon reading this and that camaraderie makes it worth not driving a spike through my head to get it out.

  Foodie Porn:
I made roasted pepitas today.  I had a craving for fall comfort food and decided to bake a pumpkin.  That was delish with pumpkin pie spice and a splash of vanilla and all pureed to make pumpkin pie without the crust.  The  real treasure is the seeds roasted with maple syrup and Sriracha.  Maple with a kick.  Recipe here.

Hope your weekend is going as well as mine so far!!
Cheers,
Angie Bee
